Recovery 3G Raglan T

Bradley is the model of perseverance and the 3G’s- Gratitude, Grace and Grit!  When she started her Recovery journey in a rural, Texas community with no Recovery supports available, Bradley decided to reach out another way- online.  “I knew if I didn’t reach out to find some support from other people going through what I was that I wasn’t going to make it.  I’d seen a few online support groups but I felt strongly that I wanted to also share fun in Recovery so, I started reaching out online through my Facebook page.  Before I knew it, I was blessed with a whole bunch of people joining me via my Facebook page!  My idea for the Recovery Crawl was to simply give a glimpse of all the different kinds of Recovery support that’s available- there are SO many groups, Recovery Organizations and people who support Recovery but it can be hard for people to find the right group.  So, I created the Recovery Crawl- we opened up 15 minute time blocks over a 24-hour period that allowed groups, people organizations to sign up.  Then, during the Recovery Crawl, they would come on live and tell what they do, what their supports were, etc.  I was so shocked!  All the spots were gone within hours!  We had groups come on the Recovery Crawl from all over the world!  I thought the Recovery Crawl would be a one time event but it’s been so helpful for so many people in finding support that we have them 2-4 times a year, now.”

While doing the Recovery Crawl, Bradley didn’t stop working on her own Recovery- seeking out every Recovery tool available, personally learning and growing herself.  “I came to Dallas and got to visit The Butterfly Way, a Recovery residence for women over 35.  I was so excited to get to meet the owner, Lori!  Not long after that, Lori offered me a job at The Butterfly Way as a house manager.  People in Recovery always have that saying that Recovery works if you work it- I never dreamed how blessed I’d be in Recovery.  I was living in a motel in a rural area without a lot of prospects available but I kept doing the work of Recovery and went from living in a motel to living in a beautiful home leading, coaching and serving some of the most amazing women in my job as a house manager at The Butterfly Way!  We do recover and it takes gratitude, grace and grit for sure, but it’s worth it beyond what we dream of- I’m proof of that!”
